This two stage blower was designed and manufactured by FBA for an international ship builder in Freemantle, WA. The fan was used to bubble air along the catamaran hulls. The impellers were manufactured from 316 stainless steel, casings and the base from marine grade aluminium.

The fan was selected to produce air volume of 4,000 l/s and static pressure of 20 kPa. The power available limited the maximum motor size to 75kW, which placed considerable importance on fan efficiency.
