This very large centrifugal fan, a Size FBA 80 DWDI, 2.05 metre diameter impeller with aerofoil blades, designed to produce 63000 l/s, was constructed by Fan & Blower Co for use as a carpark exhaust fan at the new Parramatta Police Station NSW.

The overall height of the fan when completely assembled was 3.75 metres. The maximum space available to allow entry to the building was 3.4 metres. To enable the fan to pass through this space the fan was constructed with a horizontal split case, this enabled the top section to be removed to allow the fan to fit through the restricted height limitation. Also, the casing sits in the base, not on top of the base, allowing extra valuable space to be saved.
